Success at last - finally got our trophy tarpon. Over the past few years we’ve tried other tarpon hotspots with no luck - Islamorada and Costa Rica. That all changed today - good combination paid off -good boat + great captain = 100lb bucket list tarpon! Well done guys!

We had bad weather on our trip and had to reschedule and fine new charters to take us out Capt. Yanni got us out on the water with little notice and we had a great time. His partner Capt Roger took us out and we fished in some areas we had not been to before. The boat was super clean and comfortable. Captain Roger was great, wish we had more time to spend them. 5 stars and would definitely book with Boca Granada Florida tarpon fishing charter again!

We had a great day with Roger and even though the weather proved challenging we all caught fish. Unfortunately the following day was cancelled due to the weather but a full refund was granted and we look forward to booking again. Highly recommend the experience

Boca Grande Florida Tarpon Fishing Charters

We’re a premium fishing Outfitter of Boca Grande with only native guides. Captain Yanni Melissas has fished Gasparilla Island exclusively, is U.S. Coast Guard licensed & insured and part of the USCG Auxiliary. Our Tarpon fishing calendar fills early, book ahead for the best tides of the season. Tarpon trips are April – September. Tarpon are mysterious living in both fresh and saltwater, and breathing in and above water gulping air with a swim bladder. Tarpon’s ancestors lived before dinosaurs up to 125 million years ago. They formed into modern Tarpon 18 million years ago, living longer than 60 years and growing to nearly 300 pounds. Thomas Edison and Henry Ford fished the waters surrounding Boca Grande in 1885, where the first documented Tarpon was caught on rod and reel!
